Return Policy: Our rescue asks that each adopter makes a commitment to all its animals to care for them for the lifetime of each animal. The Adopter agrees that if he or she is unwilling or unable to care for the animal for its entire lifetime, he or she will contact the Rescue and return the animal to a location specified by the Rescue unless released from this provision. The Adopter understands that he or she is responsible for the care of the animal until he or she has delivered it into the proper location of the Rescue, and will do everything within his or her power to safely return the animal. *

The Adopter agrees that in the event that he or she finds a suitable alternative home for the animal, he or she will contact the Rescue with the name, address and phone number of the proposed new adopter. Any proposed new adopter will be required to complete a Rescue adoption application and other requirements for adoption and obtain approval from the Rescue in writing before adopting the animal. Under no circumstances shall the adopter transfer permanent custody, ownership or possession of the animal to any one entity, including family or friends or any entity or agency, without the approval and written consent of the Rescue. *

Veterinary Care: The Adopter agrees to provide the animal with the necessary vaccinations as advised by his or her veterinarian. This will include: Rabies vaccinations after the age of 4 months, and any remaining of their 3 FVRCP vaccination boosters , performed three weeks apart. *

Veterinary Care: The Adopter agrees to provide the animal with the necessary vaccinations as advised by his or her veterinarian. The Adopter agrees to obtain immediate veterinary care should the animal become sick or injured, and to take full financial responsibility for any veterinary expenses. *

Care of the animal. The Adopter understands that the adopted animal is an indoor pet, and agrees to allow it full access to the home. The Adopter agrees to provide the animal with fresh water, wholesome food, adequate exercise and loving attention. *

No Representations: The Adopter understands that the Rescue does not guarantee the health, temperament, or training of the above described animal. *

The Adopter, and for his/her spouse, heirs, executors, personal representatives and assigns, agrees never to bring a claim or suit against the Rescue. The Adopter releases the Rescue and its directors, founders, employees, officers, agents, representatives, contractors, volunteers, successors and assigns from all liability arising from the adoption or behavior or actions of the animal. *

The Adopter understands that this agreement discharges the Rescue and its directors, founders, employees, officers, agents, representatives, contractors, volunteers, successors and assigns from any liability to the Adopter and his/her spouse, heirs, executors, and assigns, with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, amputation, scarring, death, property damage or other loss that may result from the adoption or behavior or activities of the cat/kitten. The Adopter releases and discharges the Rescue and its directors, founders, employees, officers, agents, representatives, contractors, volunteers, successors and assigns from any liability for the Rescue's own negligence or liability that may result in bodily injury, personal injury, illness, amputation, scarring, death, property damage or other loss to the Adopter. *

Indemnity Agreement: The Adopter, and for his/her spouse, heirs, executors, personal representatives, and assigns, agrees to indemnify and hold the Rescue harmless for all bodily injury, personal injury, illness, amputation, scarring, death, property damage or other losses, including attorney’s fees and costs of litigation, that result to anyone else or any other entity because of the Adopter’s negligence or liability. This includes lone acts or omissions by the Adopter as well as the combined acts of the Adopter with others. *

The Adopter agrees that he/she is legally competent to enter into this agreement, and this Agreement is binding upon the heirs, assigns, successors, personal representatives and executors of the Adopter. Spaying/Neutering: IF Your new pet has been spayed or neutered, the date and the veterinarian are listed on the Health Record. Please do not allow your pet to get wet for 10 days after the surgery in order to ensure the incision heals. *

Foster-to-Adopt: if your new pet is not yet spay/neutered, please list the CLINIC NAME and PHONE NUMBER where you have scheduled the surgery to be done. *

Foster-to-Adopt: Please list the DATE AND TIME of your scheduled spay/neuter surgery. Documentation confirming this appointment must be submitted to the rescue by email before you receive your new pet. *

Foster-to-Adopt: I acknowledge that I must keep this spay/neuter appointment or submit proof of surgery within 1 month of rescheduling, or the rescue reserves the right to withdraw custody: *

Rabies: Rabies is a deadly virus that attacks the central nervous system and causes the brain to swell. Cats over the age of four months are vaccinated against rabies and a certificate will be in your folder. Kittens that are adopted under the age of four months, will not have a rabies vaccine at the time of the adoption. Once your pet reaches 4 months of age, your pet should be taken to your veterinarian to receive a rabies vaccination. This is not included with your adoption. County rabies licenses are not included and it will be your responsibility to ensure your pet is properly licensed in your county. * *

Preventative Care: It is imperative that all dogs/cats receive monthly prevention, which can be purchased from a veterinarian, for the life of your pet and ensure the flea/tick prevention used, is of a pharmaceutical grade. *

Concerns After Adoption: If you have any questions about your new pet’s behavior or health in the days immediately post adoption, please contact us via telephone or email. If you have any concerns about a health issue, you should take to your veterinarian. If you would like for us to recommend a veterinarian in your area, please let us know. *

Pets from the Rescue will be up to date on vaccinations when they are Adopted. This does not mean that they have all their vaccinations, only that they will have the age appropriate vaccinations at the time of their adoption. It is the new owners responsibility to make sure that their pet gets any vaccinations due in the future. *

When your adoption is confirmed we put in a request for the pets to be on Standby for a rescue flight or ground transport to your area. Pets must have their vet care complete before their transport is scheduled. We will coordinate this within a time frame that works for everyone, but some flexibility is needed based on availability. The pet will be received by one of our partners who will coordinate pickup with you. *

The adoption donation is requested upon signing of this contract in order to finalize the adoption of your new pet(s). This amount may vary depending on animal location, breed, etc and will be clarified before you sign this contract. After payment the pet will be reserved for you until the time arranged for them to come to your home. This donation is non-refundable, even if you change your mind about adopting. *
